Terms of service
What you are buying, and what you are not.
Using Funding Check means agreeing to what is below. It is short, and the two parts worth reading are what the check can and cannot tell you, and how to stop paying.

Who you are contracting with
Funding Check is operated by Winston Dube. In these terms “we” and “us” mean that entity, and “you” means the person or business using the service. Reach us at hello@fundingcheck.co.uk.
What the service does
We read the published criteria for UK grants, loans, tax reliefs and in-kind support, check them against the business you give us, and show you which fit, which do not, and why, with the funder’s own wording and a link to their page beside each answer.
What it does not do
A match is not an approval. We are not the funder. We do not decide who gets money, we do not apply on your behalf, and we have no influence over any decision. Funders change their rules, close schemes early and apply judgement we cannot see, so always read their own guidance before you apply.
Nothing here is financial, legal, tax or accounting advice. We are not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and nothing on the site should be treated as a personal recommendation. If a decision turns on it, take proper advice.
We work from what funders publish and from the public register, and we check often, but we cannot promise every scheme is listed, that every detail is current, or that the published criteria are complete.
Your account
A free check needs nothing but an email address. There is no password to set: we send a link, or you sign in with Google. Keep your email account secure, because anyone with access to it can reach your results. Tell us if you think someone else has.
Give us accurate information. The check is only as good as what it is checking, and a profile that does not describe your business will produce results that do not apply to it.
What it costs
One free result per company, in full, with the funder’s wording and a link. The complete check is £29.99 a month or £299.90 a year, both including VAT where it applies. Prices are shown on the pricing page and are the ones that apply when you subscribe.
A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. We will tell you by email before any price change, and you can cancel rather than accept it.
Cancelling, and changing your mind
Fourteen days, no questions. If you subscribe and decide within 14 days that it is not for you, email hello@fundingcheck.co.uk and we refund you in full, even though the service started straight away and you have used it.
After that, you can cancel whenever you like, from your account or by emailing us. You keep everything you have paid for until the end of the period you are in, and you are not billed again. We do not refund part of a period you have already used, unless something on our side went wrong, in which case talk to us.
Fair use
Each check costs us real money to run, so please do not script the site, resell the results, enumerate company numbers, or use the output to build a competing index. We may suspend an account doing any of these, and we will tell you why.
Our content
The funders’ own words quoted on this site belong to the funders, and we link to the original every time. Everything else, the matching, the reasoning, the writing and the design, is ours. You may use your own results for your own business freely, including sharing them with an accountant or adviser.
If something goes wrong
We give the service the care you would reasonably expect, but we cannot promise it is never unavailable or never wrong. Where the law allows us to limit what we owe you, our total liability is capped at what you have paid us in the 12 months before the problem, and we are not liable for funding you did not win, applications you did not make, or profit you did not earn.
Nothing here limits anything that cannot legally be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or your rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Ending it
You can stop using Funding Check at any time, and ask us to delete your data as described in the privacy notice. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or if we stop offering the service, in which case we refund the unused part of anything you have paid.
The legal bits
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If any part of them turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we change them, the date at the top changes, and anyone with a subscription is emailed before the change takes effect.
